Adan de Salas Quiroga

Adán Salas Quiroga is a neurobiologist specializing in the endocannabinoid system with over a decade of experience in biomedical research. Holding a PhD in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, and Biomedicine from the Complutense University of Madrid, his work has been featured in numerous high-impact scientific journals.


Currently, he combines strategic R&D consultancy and technical training for healthcare professionals with a strong presence in international projects: he serves as the Scientific Coordinator of the WeCann Summit — the world’s largest medical cannabis congress, gathering over 1,500 physicians annually in Brazil — and is co-author, together with Brazilian neurosurgeon Patricia Montagner, of the Treatise on Endocannabinoid Medicine, the most comprehensive compendium of clinical evidence on the medical use of cannabis to date.
