Dr. Sandra Milena Carrillo Gómez is a physician from Panamá and internationally recognized specialist in cannabinoid medicine, with training in Canada, the United States and Colombia. She combines clinical practice, research, and education, holding certifications in clinical research, epidemiology, medical ethics, regenerative and anti-aging medicine, as well as a Master’s Degree in Health Services Management.
She is Co-Founder and President of the Colombian Medical Cannabis Physicians Association (ASOMEDCCAM), Co-Founder and Medical Director of Medicann IPS, and serves as professor and academic director of multiple cannabinoid medicine programmes across Latin America and Europe, including collaborations with the University of Barcelona and the Global Phytomedicines Institute. Dr. Carrillo is also a Scientific Board Member of Portugal Medical Cannabis.
An internationally invited speaker with more than 150 presentations worldwide, Dr. Carrillo has contributed to medical cannabis education and regulation and has spoken at leading institutions and conferences across Europe, the Americas, Asia, and Africa. Her work focuses on advancing research and supporting safe patient access through healthcare professional education.
