8ᵀᴴ International conference on medicinal cannabis

📅 September 10–11, 2026

📍 Academia das Ciências de Lisboa

Why Attend PTMC 2026?

Portugal continues to play a key role in the global medicinal cannabis landscape.

Since legalization in 2018, the country has become one of Europe’s leading hubs for cultivation, research and export, attracting international investment and bridging pharmaceutical standards with agricultural expertise. Yet, as the sector grows, so does its complexity.

Regulation continues to evolve, patient access remains uneven and global competition is intensifying, while scientific advances are opening new possibilities for cannabinoid-based therapies.

PTMC 2026 offers a space to explore these challenges. Hosted at the Academy of Sciences of Lisbon, this edition places a stronger focus on science, evidence-based approaches and cross-disciplinary dialogue, connecting research, regulation and industry.

PTMC is where informed conversations happen — and where decisions take shape. Join us!

Elevating the Dialogue on Medicinal Cannabis
