Jorge Miguel Teixeira

Jorge Miguel Teixeira is a Member of the Portuguese Parliament for Iniciativa Liberal, where he sits on the Committees on European Affairs and Environment & Energy. Before his election, he worked as a parliamentary advisor on environmental and agricultural policy and as a public policy consultant at the Center for Future Generations in Brussels, focusing on AI governance.

Originally from Barreiro, he has been active in civil society and liberal politics, with previous roles at Students for Liberty Portugal, the Consumer Choice Center, and the HIV treatment advocacy group GAT, where he worked on drug policy reform and harm reduction advocacy. He holds a degree in Philosophy and a Master’s in Political Science.
