João Duarte, a Business Administration graduate, is a professional with extensive experience in the cannabis industry, with a career spanning the entire seed-to-sale process. Throughout his career, he has worked in business development, sales, cultivation and extraction, giving him a comprehensive understanding of both the plant and the market. A long-time activist and cannabis sommelier, he was present at the Assembly of the Republic during the vote on the law legalizing medicinal cannabis in Portugal in 2017. Since then, he has been involved in initiatives that promote the evolution of the legal framework for cannabis, both for medicinal and recreational purposes. He regularly participates in the main international events and fairs in the sector, keeping up-to-date with industry trends and developments. Currently, he is dedicated to promoting high-level extraction equipment with Decimal Engineered, while also developing the commercial area of ​​the PTMC – Portugal Medical Cannabis conference and CannaReporter.eu.
